The National Wild Pheasant Conservation Plan was created to provide a blueprint for restoring and maintaining pheasant populations across the country. Written by contributors from 24 state wildlife agencies and Pheasants Forever, the National Plan details the habitat needed to support the states’ collective pheasant conservation objectives in contemporary agricultural landscapes. The first edition of the Plan was approved in 2013, and the second edition in 2021.
A detailed history of the steps involved in creating the partnerships contributing to the Plan can be found here.
